Purpose

This product is specially designed to protect metal surfaces from rust after the rust has been completely removed, keeping them rust-free until they are repainted. It is particularly useful in coastal areas where salt-laden air is present. No matter how well a metal surface is cleaned, it tends to rust again. Applying this product prevents that process by blocking oxygen.

Usage

First, use a Rust Remover to remove the rust, then apply the Rust Converter. (Avoid placing the liquid in metal containers.) Once applied, the surface will remain rust-free for a considerable period, allowing time before applying primer or paint. The iron will appear shiny but will not rust. Before final priming or painting, the Rust Converter must be removed using thinner.
